You might remember the work of ASH NYC from when we featured their work for The Dean Hotel here, and after looking at their portfolio of interior projects we asked if we could share this ASH NYC Sag Harbour Cottage with you too. Originally shot for Lonny Magazine by Patrick Kline (back in the day when he and Michelle were at the helm) the team at ASH recognised a kindred design spirit when we inquired about this particular project.
An eclectic mix of artwork and sculptural furnishings (have you ever come across a metal peacock chair before?) this old seaside cottage located in Sag Harbour, Suffolk Country, New York, offers an ideal summer house for anyone looking to holiday in either East Hampton or Southampton – or both. Though classical in style, the rustic worn timber floors, white washed walls, low oak beam ceilings and original fireplaces make this cozy cottage a perfect winter getaway too….if you dint have to fly across the world to get there of course.
In true ASH NYC style nothing in this home is cookie cutter or mass produced. Subscribing to a design ethos that favours an organic approach to each individual project, the team at ASH NYC take their influences from architecture, history, art, light and colour. With an aesthetic that favours a combination of style periods and historical references, each project undertaken by ASH NYC exudes a unique and individual charm inherent to the home and its occupants – and therefore can not replicated elsewhere.
