Megan Burns and Christopher Glanville from Sydney based design firm C + M Studio are the latest designers to pique our interest from the beachside city. Focused on architecture, interiors and furniture design, the creative duo apply a fresh approach to apartment living as seen here in the C + M Studio Manly Home project.
This beautiful, light filled apartment in Manly on Sydney’s northern beaches has us itching to both move the the beach, and to live in a brand new, modern apartment. (Is is wrong to be happily anticipating the day the children, and dog, leave home so that an apartment is actually a feasible option?)
Travertine floors, and a mix of warm oak timber clad and white painted walls create a warm, welcoming charm, while floor to ceiling louvered windows and sliding glass doors allow both light and fresh salty sea air to fill the home. The selection of linen covered Jardan arm chairs, a tanned leather sofa, seagrass mats and metallic side table accents add texture and a sense of laid back luxury to the beachfront apartment. From where we sit the idea of a sea change has never looked so good.
