Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm | Delicate & Robust

  • Christina Liljenberg Halstrom Est Magazine

Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm cites her Swedish mother and Danish father’s nordic roots as the major influencers in her furniture’s design.

With a minimalist approach to both architecture and her materials, Halstrøm chooses to work with wood, leather and wool. Following the Bauhaus rule of function before form, Halstrom’s finished works are dictated by their intended use.

Having studied design and art in Stockholm, Halstrøm then went on to graduate from The School of Design at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen in 2007 and launched herself onto the design scene making an ever-so-artistic splash with her delicate works of furniture art like the Georg stool and its butterfly-like silhouette with leather lace detail.
