Country Road | The Indigo Store

  • Country Road The Indigo Store 01 Est Magazine

As you know we’re really into indigo at the moment, along with the rest of the world, with our trend report in the latest issue of Est Magazine as proof.

So we thought we’d dedicate this week to THE colour of the moment. Overkill? Maybe. But we’re obviously not over it yet!

Born in July 1974, on the same day as his first born daughter Lucy, Steve Bennett launched Country Road on the back of a denim boom sweeping its way across the nation.

You could say that Indigo was the muse for the fashion label affectionately referred to as ‘the uniform shop’ by Australian’s worldwide, in honour of the brand’s success in dressing EVERYONE.

39 years after launching, Country Road’s visual merchandising team produced a pop-up concept store at Country Road South Yarra that caught our eye for its powerful play on colour blocking.
