Midwinter – it’s a time to slow down, hibernate and give some extra attention to the cosiest spot in the home, your bed. Last week were on the hunt the best in classic bed linen. So with our resting spots neatly made and looking inviting – if we do say so ourselves – it’s high time we explore options when it comes to bedheads. Bedheads introduce new dimensions to a room, aesthetically framing the bed. Stick to a simple shape and play instead with prints, colours and textures. Creating a strong focal point within the room or subtly complimenting the overall mood, bedheads effectively create an anchor to your sanctuary. As fans of the handmade and bespoke, we just had to share traditional handmade qualities and skills behind local manufacturers Heatherly Design via filmmaker Paris Thompson. Thompson clearly also shares this passion for the handcrafted and took bedhead coveting to new heights with the below video, giving a glimpse into the ‘how to’ of bespoke bedhead making at Heatherly Design.

Or take the artistic approach and use artwork as a bedhead to frame your sleeping space. We love the styling by the clever creative team behind Hunting for George Bedlinen – combining their beautiful Mr & Mrs Smith Quilt Set with framed art to really set the tone for simply stylish slumber.
