And finally the bedroom gods said, “Let there be light.” This month we have explored some of the important details within our sanctuaries, those that make gaining an elusive good night’s shut eye achievable and pleasurable. From linen (for adults and kids) to bed heads, cold winter evenings have been reason enough for us to pay a little attention to our boudoirs.
We love nothing more than crawling into bed a little earlier than usual flipping the switch of our favourite bedside lamp and picking up that tucked away magazine or book. Admittedly, yes, the laptop does somehow make its way into the mix but if you are going to have to work from bed, being surrounded by poetic glowing light always seems to make it so much more bearable!
Here are some bedside lamps we are coveting during these short days, we can’t get enough of diffused soft moody tones and minimalist metallic frames, mouth blown glass and contrasting materials. If it’s true relaxing you are after bypass electricity all together and opt for a the flicker of a candle surrounded by warm copper tones.
