What inspired you to start YOLI?
Steffanie Ball: I’ve always had an obsession with plush, luxury towels. Before starting YOLI, I purchased so many different towels and was never able to find one that met my expectations. I wanted to feel a sense of luxury from the very first touch, I wanted elevated and curated unboxing, and I wanted the quality to last. So I took it upon myself to create a product that met these expectations.
This also came at a time when I was invested in my self-care at home; it was during lockdown, and I had a busy business and was taking care of two very young kids. So after a stressful day, I found myself craving the mindfulness and relaxation that came from my own bathing rituals, and I wanted a towel that embodied that.
Can you talk more about the importance of self-care and bathing rituals?
Steffanie Ball: I’ve created a step-by-step sensory guide based on my daily self-care and bathing rituals, designed to help you reset by slowing the mind, rejuvenating the body and calming the nervous system. It’s designed to work for you, whether a quick 10-minute shower in the morning or an hour soak in the bath at night.

How does YOLI build on your already existing furniture brand En Gold? – How are the two brands aligned?
Steffanie Ball: YOLI and En Gold focus on slow design with an appreciation for high-quality craftsmanship. The idea behind both is to inspire conscious, sustainable consumption by creating pieces that can be used time and time again.
How do you see YOLI evolving into the future?
Steffanie Ball: I truly believe in the high quality of our towels – it’s evident at first touch. I see YOLI continuing to grow within the interiors and wellness space, reaching anyone craving a plush, luxury towel to implement into their daily routine.
