Dulux recognizes the power of collaboration as much as we do – and we love their latest collab ‘United by Style’ with fashion designers Kirrily Johnston and kaftan queen, Camilla Franks at last weeks L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Working closely with Dulux Colour and Communications Consultant, Bree Leech, the designers took fashion and used it as inspiration, translating their designs for the home. “Your personal dress style is definitely reflected in the way you style the home”, says Bree. “If you love wearing colour, it makes sense that you are going to want to surround yourself with it at home too.”
Taking 2 key looks from each designer, Bree clearly identified the prominent colours and textures from the collection and was able to build a story based upon the themes of each designers inspiration.
Using trans-seasonal styles in shades of wine and bronze, mixed with leopard and peacock prints, Kirrily Johnston’s fashion influences lead to a luxe feel for the living room. Taking inspiration from the ancient Persian Empire, Kirrily’s “Babylonia” collection definitely encompasses opulence and glamour.
