Inspired by the dream-like quality of what lies above, the new Silestone Ethereal stone collection sees equal consideration for its impact on the planet.
Setting out to create a collection that treads more lightly on the earth, Silestone Ethereal by Cosentino sees the inception of a new production process for their hybrid mineral surface. The Silestone Ethereal Collection is composed of HybriQ+ – a blend of minerals, quartz and recycled materials – made using 99 per cent recycled water and 100 per cent renewable energy. Comprising at least 20 per cent recycled materials, the technology levels up to Cosentino’s move towards a circular economy through surfaces as durable as they are sustainable.
Influenced by the visual qualities of marble, Ethereal Dusk, Ethereal Haze, Ethereal Glow, and Ethereal Noctis are all an interpretation of the sky, manifested through expressive veining and muted hues and textures. In this edit, we dive into the details of the Ethereal series and how each surface establishes a harmonious aesthetic in the bathroom or kitchen.

Ethereal Glow
Just as Calacatta Gold marble, Silestone Ethereal Glow conjures a European sophistication. With ribbons of gold and grey through a white canvas, Silestone Ethereal Glow reflects how light emerges as a luminous glow through clouds in the late afternoon or early morning sky.
Its classic appearance as a kitchen island and splashback creates contemporary contrast with traditional black kitchen joinery, Gaggenau appliances and herringbone parquetry with pewter grey undertones.

Ethereal Noctis
Silestone Ethereal Noctis is a more sobering confluence of grey, charcoal and black tones. Meaning ‘of night’, Silestone Ethereal Noctis sees the silvery moon and ebony of the night sky in a graphic display.
While maintaining a white foundation, depth is revealed in Silestone Ethereal Noctis through short veining and texture, accentuated when paired with cement-inspired floor tiles in the bathroom.

Ethereal Haze
Silestone Ethereal Haze is a subtle addition to the new Silestone collection. It presents the quiet, calm and subdued atmosphere we associate with hazy skies.
Playing with grey gradients, the veining evokes the movements of clouds passing by. Silestone Ethereal Haze finds its place in a shaker kitchen, with limestone look flooring, a ceramic sink and brass tapware – a versatile combination of warm and cool tones.

Ethereal Dusk
Silestone Ethereal Dusk is described as the most modern surface in the Ethereal collection. It calls on the evocative time of sunset, where the sky morphs into artistic tinges of blues, deep reds and orange.
With a blue tint and geometric patterning, Silestone Ethereal dusk is designed to be layered with red-toned wood and bronzed metals. It’s a natural fit inside a Nordic-inspired kitchen with timber cabinetry and timber-lined ceilings.
