Recently nominated for the International Woolmark prize, Garth Cook is the name to watch for as one of Australia’s up and coming designers. ‘Dress un Dress’ is Cook’s fifth Spring Summer collection and again sees the designer using the mix of beautiful, quality fabrics that he has built his reputation on.
The latest look-book sees a textile-based Spring Summer 2014/15 collection that boasts a rich selection of fabrics. Japanese cotton, silk organza and silk georgette are predominantly used as the foundation while Cooks experiments with bright colours as can be seen here in his use of Fluro orange feather with the collection anchored by a predominantly metallic palette.
And it would seem too that Mr Cook is a little partial to the socks and Birkenstock look to finish off an outfit – for the truly fashion forward we would suggest?
