Insider’s Guide to Flos Lighting by Vincent Van Duysen

The name Vincent Van Duysen denotes a legacy of revered design. Based in Antwerp, the multi-disciplinary designer engages a team of 30 collaborators spanning architecture, interior design and product design. The attitude and confidence that he brings to each of these creative pursuits has led to prominent collaborations with leading global design brands – one being Italian lighting brand Flos. “I love working with Flos because of their fresh and innovative perspective on both architectural and domestic lighting,” Vincent says. “On a human level, they dare to put soul and emotion in light. Sometimes like poetry, often with a touch of irony, without taking it all too seriously.”

We’re highlighting six pieces that ensued from this collaboration, each typifying Vincent’s unique design approach – where pure materials and sculptural forms translate into clean, timeless design. This collection’s messaging, which closely resembles his architecture and interior projects, is ‘minimal design, maximum impact’.
