Elevate your bedding staples with these six handcrafted Abode sheets.
Effortless luxury and world-class quality are the pillars of Melbourne-based bedding brand Abode. Their fabrics are milled from fine quality yarns in Italy and crafted in natural hues and fibres, making them both durable and sustainable. “Steeped in generations of experience, our mills apply traditional and cutting-edge processes that offer unrivaled quality,” Abode creative director Amelia Marasco Adair says. “Finished in Milan, then hand-sewn in our Melbourne factory, our products are crafted to endure,”.
Abode are also on a mission to expose the truth about thread count, arguing that true quality bedding goes beyond the measure of a thread count and places greater emphasis on the fabric itself, the workmanship and finish, and the user experience. Abode’s staple Giza 45 collection is a testament to this; cultivated in a tiny area in Egypt, the collection represents the pinnacle of cotton sheeting. The extreme care taken to grow and pick the cotton produces a fibre that’s finer, stronger, and longer than any other.
Other staple sheeting collections by Abode include the Citi collection and Como collection, both made of Belgian linen that only gets softer with time, the Ultracale collection and Millecale collection, both made of breathable and comfortable Egyptian cotton, and the Milano collection, made of crisp, clean American cotton.
Beyond these off-the-shelf options, Abode also custom-makes sheets according to their customer’s specific needs, including size, fabric, and colour. The decision to offer bespoke services was made with the Australian architecture and design community in mind; now, designers can create one-off pieces for their clients.
