The Jimmy Nelson Photography Exhibition ‘Before they Pass Away’ follows the photographers trek around the world with one large camera, along a track less travelled. Over the course of his journey, the photographer captured a series of raw, yet compellingly glamorous, images of the world’s last known tribesmen and women in their secluded and extreme environments. The result is a compilation of what Nelson describes as an “ethnographic record of a fast disappearing world”.
Nelson’s work has produced a series of photographs that both individually and collectively, tell a story of tradition, ritual, family and cultural diversity in all its glory. You can purchase online the Trade Edition of Before They Pass Away via publisher Teneues, or if you really can’t get enough of these enchanting photographs the Collector’s Edition XXL, but what we are all waiting in anticipation for is the release of our favourite photographs in the form of an art print.
