Dark timber kitchens have always held a place in our hearts and this particular kitchen style featured in the latest issue of Est Magazine has had us intrigued with its mix of materials, textures and tones. Stark white walls, oak cabinetry in a rich dark chocolate stain with concrete bench tops and white rectified tiles laid in a zig zag pattern on the floor is not a combination that we see regularly in our search for dream kitchens. The mix of metal pendants and task lighting add a further dimension that is not all ‘flashy and look at me’ but is instead interesting and unexpected would’t you agree?
