Armed with a love for the uncomplicated, the natural aesthetic and an appreciation for simple design, Laura Wortlock launched Once was Lost after returning to north Queensland with her husband having spent time abroad living in New York City and Vancouver.
With a creative arts background spent working in water colour and screen printing, Laura made the most of her time while travelling overseas by working with a variety of talented artisans and learning from the techniques of their respective crafts.
Now working from a home studio in the tropics of Queensland, Laura is using her well honed eye for creative design and turning it to designing apparel under the label Once Was Lost. It would seem that Laura is now well and truly found!
Thanks to Laura at Once Was Lost are giving away 2 waxed cotton & sterling silver bracelets – 1 x infinity bracelet & 1 x pebble bracelet, to 1 lucky winner (you can see the bracelets on the wrist of the wood gatherer below!). Handmade in Spain using premium waxed cotton & sterling silver pendants we think they are the perfect accompaniment for the sophisticatedly chic Est readers outfit…wouldn’t you agree?
