Summer holidays feel like a distant memory with school about to start in the southern hemisphere – and with Sydney’s Life InStyle 2016 retail trade show opening their doors to us on the 18th of February we have jumped straight back into planning mode as we get stuck into the busy year ahead.
If you’re in the game of helping people stock their homes with beautiful wares then be sure to register yourself for the four day event and start planning now as its shaping up to be bigger than ever. Here’s just a small sample of the stands that we here at est don’t want to miss. Maybe we’ll see you there?
With space saving products like these beautiful leather coat hangars from By Wirth, to gourmet accoutrements from Himalayan salt producers Rivsalt, iConnect is a definite must see. Personally we can’t wait to get our hands on the Frozzypack lunch boxes from Sweden. Bringing your lunch from home has never looked so good – or stayed so cool.
These hand blocked printed textiles from Sydney designers, Lauren Bennett and Genevieve Hewson, a.k.a Walter G, have been made by artisans in Rajasthan using mud printed fabric to produce wonderfully patterned, tactile pieces designed to mix and match. It’s all about layers – whether you’re snoozing on the sofa, reading the papers in bed, or entertaining out on the back deck this summer.
Alice Keep is the artisan behind Keep Resin homewares, a beautifully hand crafted selection of lighting, tables and planters all made in…well…resin!
You know how mad we are here at est for the colour grey in its many various shades right? So it makes sense then that we would be MAD about Alice’s colour palette of mottled grey, whites and every shade of grey in between for the myriad of organically shaped vessels she has created. If we had to describe the quintessential est aesthetic by referencing a product – it would be the The Keep Resin beaker in pale grey. No question.
…and who does not love a truly beautiful candle? With an exceptional nose for creating stunning fragrances, Melbourne’s own queen of candles, Kristine Brown is the creative mastermind and olfactory astute founder of SoH (Scent of Home). We are coveting the Agapé scent in the black iron vessel for a little sophisticated, sultry ambiance.
As the Creative Director of Behr & Co, Breanne Raffoul works closely with artisans both locally and abroad to produce pieces that bring an elegant sense of style to the home. While its true that marble and brass are certainly having their ‘moment’ in the sun, we can not resist a little metallic injection for the desk tops and the tables in our lives. And this little marble paperweight makes a perfect house warming gift don’t you think?
