Archiproducts Milano, a design centre for architects, designers and brands, opened its doors to more than 6,000 visitors in its seventh year. As the brainchild of Archiproducts.com (an online resource for architecture and design products), Archiproducts Milano is available to the public throughout Milan Design Week annually. This year, the two-storey space welcomed architects and interior designers searching for new solutions for their projects and provided more than 100 complimentary interior design consultations throughout the event.
Focusing on a fresh theme each year, Archiproducts Milano’s 2022 installation Future Habit(at) delved into the envisaged future of how we interact with our home or workspace. On approach, guests were immediately immersed in innovation – the two-storey structure’s top-level facade was artistically draped in Kriskadecor anodised aluminium.
In collaboration with Studio Salaris and more than 80 participating product brands, the building’s 15 rooms were furnished and customised for visitors to explore. Each space represented a unique experience – every nook telling its own story. Key themes for 2022 included natural and urban elements blended with nuanced technology, ultimately exploring new ways of living and sharing spaces.
Highlights included Belgium company BuzziSpace’s curved acoustic seating absorbing excessive noise while creating a sense of togetherness. Finland’s Framery soundproof pod workstations explored productivity by focusing on noise and privacy issues in open-plan offices. At the same time, Samsung educated on solutions with sustainability at the forefront, and Japanese corporation mui Lab introduced ‘calm digital living’ via smart touch home technology.
