Finding the beauty in simplicity is what Copenhagen design studio NORM does best. Founded in 2008 by architects Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen, NORM specialises in all aspects of residential architecture, commercial interiors and industrial design.
This Humlebæk Home drew us in as soon as we saw the art works propped against the white washed walls. The client, an artist, issued a brief that highlighted a need to create a sanctuary, surrounded by beauty to inspire artistic creativity. And in the open fields behind the famous Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk, we could not think of a better location to live and to paint… If only we could.
The raw materials provide the inspiration for the design of this home and studio. Brick walls, concrete floors and wooden beams. You had us at hello.

love, Love, LOVE this! The white with black, grey and brown palette. But also the combination of rough and finished edges. Great find Est team!
Thanks Mary Jo!
I am in love with the black pendants over the table, where are they from?
Hi Caroline! They are the Topan VP6 and are the first mass produced lamps, designed in 19659 by Verner Panton. &Tradition Copenhagen now produce them. Check their website for stockists worldwide. http://www.andtradition.com
