Alessi’s kettle 9091 features two brass whistles that play a pleasant melody once the water reaches boiling point on the stove top. The Alessi Kettle was designed by Richard Sapper to create a kettle that would please more than one sense.The sculptural kettle is made of mirror-polished stainless steel, and the undulating handle is black polyamide. The whistle part can be lifted off the spout with the mechanism located under the handle. Launched in 1982, 9091 was Alessi’s first design kettle and can be found in the collections of numerous design museums.The Alessi kettle is 19 cm in height and 16.5cm in diameter, with a 2 litre water capacity to boil water.
