The Great Dane Vieno Vase combines two contrasting textures; delicate shiny glass and a strong matt wood. These opposing materials accentuate one another. A collaboration between Antrei Hartikainen; a master cabinet maker, and Katriina Nuutinen; glass specialist, bringing forward the essence of two soulful natural materials. The Vieno vase is crowned by a hand-carved lime wood cap designed by Antrei Hartikainen. The bark-like feel of the skilfully crafted cap creates an alluring contrast to the smoothness of the glass; like a tree growing from water, light yet strong.
