The Halcyon Lake Nobsa Ochre/Grey Rug is manufactured from pure wool on horizontal looms, by hand, in a small family business. Meaning ‘the valley retreat of noble weavers’ in an ancient, indigenous language, Nobsa, in north Colombia, is also renowned for its wool industry.
Designed by Sebastian Herkner, NOBSA has an elongated centre, creating the effect of a smaller rug lying atop a larger one. The choice of colours, coupled with a particular technique of weaving in different directions, lends NOBSA its individual character. With hand-finished edges, the rugs come in three sizes and four colourways.
