The India Mahdavi Bishop Stool is to furniture what the bishop is to chess: it favours a diagonal movement over a straight one. Available in 20 colours, it can serve both as a stool and a side table. to complement it and expand its function, India has designed accessories: the peanut, a walnut tray that nestles the shape of two bishops to make them one, the c.o.d (direct object compliment): an enamelled ceramic tray that fits on top, transforming it to a side table, and the cocktail: a larger enamelled ceramic tray that translates the bishop into a cocktail table.
