The Maison Matisse Potiron Armchair in Boucle Brown is part of the Esquisses collection, inspired by a series of timeless drawings by Henri Matisse from the book “Dessins: Thème et Variation” (1943). Created by the renowned British designer Faye Toogood, this armchair is the perfect combination of comfort and style. The shape of the Potiron armchair recalls the elements of Henri Matisse’s still life: a pumpkin, a vase, a pitcher, as well as the presence of a void (detail of the cut-out in the backrest), which symbolises the negative space of the painter’s drawing. The curved and subtle lines of the Potiron armchair evoke the essence of the painter’s drawings, while offering optimal comfort.
