NGA Still Life was photographed at the outset of the pandemic. When borders were still open, Nicole travelled to Canberra to photograph the National Gallery of Australia. The quiet, powerful presence of the building, its sculptural forms, robust materiality and the drama of light and shape create abstracted graphic landscapes. Silent and haunting yet also peaceful and hopeful, NGA Still Life finds solace in the architecture’s enduring strength.
