Drawing inspiration from the seascapes of Sydney and Bluey’s Beach on NSW mid north coast, contemporary artist Sally West enjoys the immediacy of the moment and fully immerses herself into her surrounding environment when painting plein air works. Creating texural surfaces with thick impasto brushstrokes, Sally’s work takes on a fresh approach to the plein air technique of painting landscapes.
