The Skovshoved Mobelfabrik OGK Safari Daybed was designed by Ole Gjerløv-Knudsen in 1962. It was designed for his son who was going on a small camping trip. When the son was sick and had a sore throat, the caring father designed the daybed so that the son would not lie and freeze on bare ground. The piece comes in a leather canvas bag with a shoulder strap. The bag is no bigger than a ski bag. With a bit of exercise, the sawmill can be assembled in under 2 minutes and is thus very easy to transport with you wherever you arrive.
