Missoni Home Miss Wood Chair is a perfectly proportioned, ergonomically designed chair that is light and robust. Technology and innovation play an integral part in its production process but ultimately the chair is meticulously hand-finished: sanded to perfectly smooth then ‘dressed’ – with paint applied in gradient shades, in a choice of six tonal colours, plus one solid colour – anthracite. The finer details of this chair belie its material parameters. The most extraordinary feature here is the absence of sharp edges or corners in this solid wood chair, its fluidity further accentuated by the use of biomimetic, therefore almost seamless, joinery. Thus the whole surface appears more like a skin that wraps around the chair’s soft contours.
