Habito Madia Intagliata – CabinetEmail enquiry about Habito Madia Intagliata – Cabinet
The Habito Madia Intagliata – Cabinet is a four-door cabinet made as a single block using wood with vertical grain. All sides are manually carved using a chisel. All the surfaces are sanded. The entire manufacturing and finishing process is carried out manually in Habito’s workshop. The wood used for this item is Linden, typical of the European climate zone and used in traditional Latin sculpture. With a faint grain, Linden is distinguished by a soft but extremely “bonded” fibre: it therefore combines a certain lightness with great mechanical toughness. Its pale colour is highly valued and over time takes on a delicate pink hue. Two large convex surfaces at the front come together sharply in a parabolic curved outline. Small facets, diminishing as they rise, create lines and vibrations of light, which leads the eye to a serene, infinite dimension. In The Habito Madia Intagliata – Cabinet, everything seems to lose weight and volume.
