Mafi Douglas Fir Lye White are impressive wide plank boards with a subtle appearance and a clear surface structure. Typical are few bony, well embedded knots of up to 60mm diameter and obvious signs of the annual growth rings. Isolated knot holes and cracks are possible and are closed with suitable wood putty. Fir wood is ideal for rustic-style rooms and contemporary architecture. The raw material originates from Austria and is only felled in the winter months. During winter the tree ceases its growth for a short period, resulting in further robustness and stability in the wood.
