Established in 2007, Kate and her team have designed residential landscapes throughout Melbourne and in country and coastal Victoria. The site and aspect, the architecture and client preferences all influence the design work, and their training in both design and horticulture ensures a keen focus on planting design, as well as the hard landscape elements. The team’s guiding principle is a quote from eminent mid-20th century American designer Thomas Church, who since said “gardens are for people”. Working in conjunction with architects and builders ensures that the garden is a key element in the design process, rather than the last thing on the agenda.
