As the official Australian media partner, est is thrilled to join Archiproducts in celebrating the winners of this year’s Archiproducts Design Awards.
Hosted by architecture and design resource Archiproducts, the annual Archiproducts Design Awards seek to celebrate design excellence and innovation on a global scale by showcasing the work of leading international product designers.
After closely evaluating more than 750 submissions worldwide, the winners of the 2022 Archiproducts Design Awards have been revealed. Individuals from all walks of the design community gathered to attend the awards ceremony held at the Padiglione Visconti in Milan on Wednesday, November 23. The 1,200-square-metre space is located in the heart of the former Ansaldo warehouses; an illustrious venue that regularly celebrates the coming together of art, fashion and design.
Like previous years, winning brands across all 14 categories received a limited edition trophy designed by Spanish studio MUT Design, produced by De Castelli. At the same time, winning designers received a monolithic marble trophy crafted by Michael Anastassiades and created by Salvatori.
A step up from previous years, the 2022 awards highlighted sustainability in a way it has never done before, with a brand new accolade, the ‘Special Mention for Sustainability’, and an 11-seat jury dedicated to the sector. The novel Special Mention for Sustainability was reserved for products that stood out in terms of recyclability and biodegradability of materials, pollution-reducing production techniques and minimal environmental impact during the product’s entire life cycle. More than 100 brands worldwide received this prestigious prize, each carefully selected by the sustainability jury.
