Sarah Lavoine is the Kate Moss of the interior design scene in Paris. Ridiculously cool, effortlessly chic and undeniably talented, you could argue that Lavoine’s eye for design was trained from birth. With a father as the Editor of French Vogue for over 15 years and a well reknown interior designer for a mother it is little wonder Lavoine manages to keep her well shod heels frimly planted in both the world of fashion and interiors. Did we mention she is married to french singer and heart throb Marc Lavoine?
I came across Sarah Lavoine’s work last October when I stopped by her showroom on rue Saint-Roche on the way back from the Jardin Tuilleries. Lavoine’s showroom resembles that of a flat furnished by the designer complete with textural Moroccan rugs, her own design linen sofas, China objet, artefacts, stunning lamps and layers of texture. Eclectically cool with an underpinning of sophisticated chic. This designer has it in spades.
