Kitchen | Townhouse in Toulouse by RMGB

The Look

This completely renovated townhouse in Toulouse has been designed by the Paris based architecture firm, RMGB, to reflect the two different architectural styles of contemporary and traditional design.

At the entrance of the house dark tones have been used in the stain of the timber cabinetry while a contemporary Solunite resin flooring has been installed that leads down through to the kitchen. The living and dining areas use traditional, classical design elements of moulding as can be seen on the walls and herringbone parquetry flooring to delineate the different areas or zones of the house.

Upstairs on the first floor, a bedroom designed for the owners adult daughter uses both light and warm tones to reflect a feminine, lighter tone to the room. Lined with cement walls and flooring, the feature piece in the ensuite bathroom is the Vieques bath designed by Patricia Urquiola for Agape.
