Spotted at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York this week was the latest addition to Stephen Kenn’s sofa range. You may remember Kenn’s Encounter Collection featured earlier this year, and as fans of the east coast based designer we were thrilled to see him with wife Bek’s Opperman at his side, exhibiting the new range for us all to recline in.
With a fresh take on his classic design, Kenn’s new natural canvas covered sofa uses a mix of vegetable tanned leather belts interwoven over an antique copper plated frame. The result is one very handsome, architectural looking piece.
While the white canvas cushions are fully removable and washable (an absolute design essential for any household – with or without kids!) the sofa also comes in a classic black, with black woollen covered cushions atop black cotton webbing and black leather straps interwoven over a dull brass plated frame.
So now making a decision on which Stephen Kenn sofa you like really is just a case of black or white. Or did we mention it also comes in hand dipped indigo blue? Decisions, decisions…
