Sometimes the best innovation comes from the reincarnation of a classic. It’s a little like the remix of one of your favourite songs, the one that you find you now love more than the original. After stepping through the glass cube entrance and into the soaring marble lobby, the newly reinvented London EDITION hotel has just become ‘the go to place to stay’ that we will now be singing about for years to come.
Opened in September 2013, EDITION boasts a reservation list brimming with royals and celebrities alike who, like us, are drawn to the exquisite Edwardian façade and interior details both fixed and flexing. Wood panelling in either dark walnut or light oak encloses most of the 173 guest rooms furnished with George Smith slipper chairs, faux-fur throws and Hendrik Kerstens striking photography.
Famous for its cultural diversity, coupled with traditional old-world charm, the vibrant ever-changing city landscape ensures there is always something new to explore. Renown hotel and real estate developer, Ian Schrager of Studio 54 fame, has partnered with the Marriott group to create this unique ‘hotel as lifestyle’ experience in central London’s Fitzrovia district that will have you either wanting to move in, or coming back for more.
