As we welcome the new year, we’re debuting our top five stylists of 2019; the names you should know for the coming year in design.
Behind every good project is an individual or team of interior stylists. As our first year profiling our top five, we’re honouring the immense dedication of these stylists to the local – and international design sphere.
This past year we were privy to a hoard of stellar interiors. But there is no denying, those that stood out had the signature styling hand of our top five. From across the globe in North London to our home-grown talent, we’re commending the work of Jack Milenkovic, Louisa Grey, Simone Haag, Alexandra Gordon and Claire Delmar.
Join us as we highlight why they’ve rightfully earned their place as one of the best stylists in 2019.

Claire Delmar
Claire Delmar
We’re kicking off our top five stylists in 2019 with none other than Claire Delmar from Studio CD. Claire was our very own style hunter in 2019, scouring Paris Design Week and Maison et Objet for the latest furniture, art and objects, as seen in issue #34 of est magazine.
While her name graced a number of projects in 2019, the styling of Mrs Smith’s Mosman harbourside home and Alexander & Co’s Bondi Junction put Claire’s name in the spotlight. We have no doubt this year will be even bigger for Studio CD.

Jack Milenkovic
Jack Milenkovic
Creative director of marketing and creative agency Atelier Lab & Co, Jack Milenkovic is no stranger to the design world. Having previously worked in the same role for Belle and GQ Australia, Milenkovic’s creative eye for style and detail has led him to oversee a number of creative projects in fashion and interiors in 2019.
In early 2019, est featured Tom Mark Henry Studio’s Clovelly Home, which showcased a true testament to pared-back, thoughtful design – a prelude for what’s to come in 2020.

Louisa Grey
Louisa Grey
While on the other side of the world, we couldn’t look past the work of Louisa Grey, director of design studio House of Grey. With a dedicated focus on enhanced wellbeing, Grey incorporates locally-sourced, sustainable and natural materials in all of her projects.
Est was lucky enough to chat to Louisa and take a peek inside her leafy North London townhouse in 2019; renovated by herself and her team. With more residential projects being released this year, we know this won’t be the last you hear of Louisa on est.

Alexandra Gordon
Alexandra Gordon
After 17 years as stylist, editor and writer at Vogue Living Magazine, Alexandra Gordon is now marketing and communications manager for Sydney’s Smart Design Studio. In 2019 Alexandra’s styling hand was on several of the year’s best-loved projects; from a Queen-Anne style renovation in collaboration with Madeleine Blanchfield to a New South Wales urban beach house by Decus Interiors. With an exceptional eye for detail and immersive creativity, we’re anticipating more show-stopping collaborations from Alexandra in 2020.

Simone Haag
Simone Haag
Starting out as a receptionist for interior design firm Hecker Guthrie, Simone Haag is now one of Australia’s most recognised stylists. With ten years of experience under her belt, the Melbourne-based interior designer has left her mark on 2019 design with a suite of successful projects. This list includes Canterbury House in collaboration with custom home builder Mazzei and her eclectic Fitzroy North renovation – both featured on est. Incorporating unique furniture and art pieces, Simone has created an instantly recognisable style that’s sure to command attention in 2020.
