For those of you lucky enough to live in sunny Sydney, it may not be the best-kept secret in town that the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel has undergone a bit of a transformation this year. The newly-refurbed Beach Club has just opened in time for what experts are predicting will be a long hot summer. Bring it on we say!
Director Fraser Short is responsible for the multi million dollar renovation of one of Sydney’s most stunning harbourside locations and best watering holes. Paying homage to a mid-century Miami cool aesthetic, architect Jeremy Bull created the perfect space for enjoying sunsets over the harbour and sipping cocktails after a long lunch from the newly-designed menu by chef John Pye and his team.
You may recall we experienced the sublime setting ourselves a few weeks ago when we held the Est Magazine Reader’s Dinner in the Hotel’s Sunset Room. The same room has been worldwide hit on Instagram too.
The new street-style Fish and Chippery on the street running down to the ferry and the Top Deck space above the bar with fabulous harbour views offer relaxed settings for informal ‘gatherings’ or parties for any age.
Only 12km from the CBD and a swift 6 minute drive from Bondi Beach, The Watsons Bay Hotel Beach Club is the OTHER ultimate Sydney experience.
Oh – and if you can’t bring yourself to leave once you get there – book a room upstairs and stay the night to experience breakfast in the Sunset Room the next day. We did. And loved it.
